Rocky Knob is a 185-acre mountain bike park in Boone, NC. The mountain hosts about 8 miles of mountain bike trails rated intermediate to advanced. There are no true beginner trails here. <br />
The trails feature rowdy, rocky singletrack cutting through rhododendron thickets and scenic Appalachian forest. The climb is intense, technically challenging and ROCKY but the descent is well worth it. <br />
The park also features three skills areas, ranging from beginner to advanced, and the PBJ, an advanced skills downhill jump trail. The trailhead features an adventure playground, shelter and picnic areas. Flush toilets are under construction as of may 2014.
